CASTER Course
CASEM Canadian Advanced Sports Trauma, Emergency Response and Preparedness (CASTER) Course
We are excited for the return of the CASEM advanced team physician course! This two-day program is an intensive, hands-on training program designed for experienced sport medicine professionals preparing to work at major Games and sporting events. Through realistic, scenario-based learning, participants will sharpen critical emergency response skills and develop integrated action plans for high-performance competition environments.
Faculty members are experienced practitioners with provincial, national, and international Games experience, providing participants with a truly unique sport medicine learning experience.
Due to the nature of the course, registration is limited to 24 participants to maintain a low learner-to-faculty ratio and support a highly interactive educational experience. In the event that interest exceeds available spots, and to help tailor the experience to the audience, interested members will be asked to complete a brief application form providing additional information.
The target audience includes members who hold the Diploma in Sport and Exercise Medicine, have prior sport coverage experience, and have completed CASEM previous similar topics such as the Basic Team Physician and Sideline Care Course.
Applications have closed and participants have been notified. If you have not received notification of your application status please email cpd@casem-acmse.org
