The Canadian Academy of Sport and Exercise Medicine is hosting a FREE information session on osteoarthritis open to the public!

LEARN: Exercise options, bracing, injection therapies and more!

Sessions presented by Dr Marni Wesner and Dr Terry DeFreitas both Sport and Exercise Medicine Physicians with an interest in helping patients with osteoarthritis get and remain active!

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the pathophysiology and progression of osteoarthritis to enhance clinical assessment and patient education.
  • Evaluate evidence-based non-surgical and surgical treatment options for managing osteoarthritis in active individuals.
  • Develop individualized management plans that incorporate exercise, lifestyle modifications, and multidisciplinary care to optimize patient outcomes.

3:00pm – Question period
3:30pm – Break – snacks and coffee/tea provided!
3:45pm – OA treatment strategy for primary care providers
5:00pm – End of session
