In 2024, CASEM established the Hall of Fame to honor individuals the sports medicine community who have made significant contribution(s) to the growth and development of sport medicine in Canada.

Hall of Fame nominations deadline is October 15th, 2025. 

Nominations for all awards should be submitted below. See nomination criteria listed for more information. Any questions regarding the nomination process can be sent to admin@casem-acmse.org.

Hall of Fame Inductees

1) Physician Category

This award honors longtime CASEM members who have demonstrated outstanding dedication and made remarkable contributions to the Academy and the field of sport and exercise medicine on a national scale.

2) Builder Category

The Builder category encompass a wide spectrum of disciplines and roles, representing diverse professions such as researchers, physiotherapists, nurses, other allied members, policymakers, and more. Eligible nominees for this distinction must be Canadian citizens, whether living or posthumous, and are eligible for induction at any stage of their career. This prestigious award is bestowed upon individuals who have made substantial contributions to the Academy and/or the field of sport and exercise medicine on a national scale. These contributions may range from singular, exceptional achievements to a lifetime of impactful endeavors.
