Target Audience: Family Physicians, Sport & Exercise Medicine Physicians, Physiatrists
Total Duration: 3.5 hours (3.0 accredited hours + 0.5 breaks)
Overall Learning Objectives:
By the end of this program, participants will be able to:
- Identify appropriate indications and contraindications for common
joint injections - Select appropriate products and doses based on joint size and
pathology - Perform safe, effective landmark-guided injections of major joints
- Recognize and manage common post-injection complications
This hands-on workshop is designed to provide sports medicine physicians and allied healthcare professionals with practical training in commonly performed joint and soft tissue injections. The course integrates relevant anatomy, indications, contraindications, and injection techniques used in the management of musculoskeletal and sports-related conditions.
The workshop includes brief didactic sessions followed by supervised hands-on practice using models and simulation equipment. By the end of the course, participants will have increased confidence and competence in performing joint injections commonly encountered in sports medicine practice.

09:10-10:40 – Module 1 – Indications, Contraindications & Injection Selection
