To acknowledge the recently developed Canadian Best Practices Guidelines for Iron Optimization in Athletes which is a collaborative effort from Canadian sport medicine physicians, dietitians and physiologists. And to appreciate that this evidence-based information is designed to ensure a consistent national message when screening, managing and treating athletes regarding their iron status.
2. To understand the key highlights and nuances when implementing the current evidence-based recommendations for iron optimization with regards to screening and treating athletes to support their iron status for health and sport performance.
